WP1: Market Survey and User Requirements

The main objective of this WP is to identify, analyze and prioritize the needs of iFAROS platform users in pilot countries through market analysis and questionnaire survey. Data ownership and privacy issues will be also examined.

WP3: FMS Interface and Data Intergation

The aim of this WP is to design, develop and provide a web-accessible user interface capable of collecting the information derived from the different sources involved (ground and air sensors, vehicles and implements, etc.) and adapt it to a suitable form for end-user’s devices.

WP4: Data Analytics

Based on the identified requirements (WP1) and the specifications, new technologies and interfaces for data acquisition and transfer (WP2), the aim of WP3 is to devise novel algorithms for fusing agronomic data and for deriving agronomic decision-support based on multi-source data, and to realize these algorithms in a cloud-based environment for spatial-data analytics.

WP5: System Validation and Evaluation

The developed system will be tested, piloted, and evaluated in field trials carried out in all participating countries (Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, and Spain). The objective of this WP is to verify the developed system’s capability to deliver the specified services, data products and reports as well as to validate that they address the market and user requirements. Work is organized in the following tasks:

WP6: Coordination, Exploitation and Dissemination

The objective of this WP is to ensure that iFAROS meets all its objectives, on time and within the budget, comprising the organizational, financial and scientific management. Activities related to publishing and disseminating results of the project, aiming towards a future scientific and commercial exploitation.
